The old method
You show up to shift. Someone talks through the hazards at pre-start, but there’s a lot to remember, especially if you’re working in a different area today. The hazard board has pins on it, but it hasn’t been updated since yesterday. If something changed mid-shift, you might not hear about it until someone tells you. Or until you’re already there.

Pre-Start
Open HazView on your phone or tablet. The map shows every active hazard on site, right where they are. Tap any hazard to see what it is, what the rating is, and what controls are in place. You know exactly what you’re walking into before you leave the crib room. Workers shouldn’t have to try and memorise everything from the prestart, or squint at a pinboard and hope its been updated recently.
Heading to Your Work Area
You’re operating in a section you haven’t worked in for a few weeks. Open HazView and check the area on the map. Two new hazards have been flagged since you were last here. One is a geotech hazard near the ramp, and you can see the photos, the rating, and the recommended exclusion zone. You know before you arrive.
Something Doesn’t Look Right
You notice a new crack near a bund wall. Open HazView, tap the map, drop a pin, take a photo, and submit. That’s it. The OCE and geotech teams are notified instantly. Your report is georeferenced, timestamped, and stored permanently.
Alert Notification
HazView sends you an in-app alert: a hazard near your work area has been upgraded. You tap the notification, see the updated rating and new controls, and adjust accordingly. No delay. No second-hand information.

Need to do a pre-start check on your vehicle? Open the checklist in HazView. It’s built for your role and your equipment. Fill it out, sign digitally, done. It’s stored permanently and linked to your location.
Offline? No Problem.
Working in an area with no phone signal? HazView works offline. The full map, all hazards, and your checklists are right there. Everything syncs automatically when you’re back in range.
